After having its cadet ranks devastated during the COVID pandemic, the Redbird Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron undertakes a rebuilding phase.  The squadron is appealing to youth located in the Oak Cliff/Redbird area where meetings are held every Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.  Dallas and Duncanville ISD middle school students are being specifically invited to attend.

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the auxiliary of the USAF.  Cadets are neither required nor recruited to join the armed forces.  CAP is designed to provide youth ages 12-18 training in leadership, character development, physical fitness, and aerospace (aviation, aeronautical and STEM) education.  CAP provides academic and flight scholarship plans to students who meet eligibility requirements.

Redbird Composite Squadron is led by Major Cleveland Brown, a retired Secret Service agent who has served on teams that protected three presidents.

The Squadron looks forward to meeting students, parents and school administrators on Sunday, January 15, 2023.  Also, community members will be welcomed.
