ObamaCare LogoDo you need health insurance? Do you need health insurance that you can afford to use? All persons residing in Dallas County can sign up for health insurance through the health insurance marketplace on this Sunday, November 10th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4910 Bonnie View Road, Dallas, TX 75241.

Each person wishing to enroll should bring:

• Proof of citizenship (SS Card or passport)

• Proof of State Residency (Driver’s License, copy of lease, or utility bill)

• Proof of income (tax return, W-2, or pay stub)

• Proof of Legal Residence/Immigration Status (green card)

• Method of Payment (How will you pay for an insurance plan? – No payment is required at the time of enrollment)

For the first time in the DFW Metroplex and possibly the state of Texas, professionals (Navigators from the Urban League, Be Covered Texas, Community Council of Greater Dallas, and certified application counselors from Parkland Hospital) will be on-site to enroll interested, qualified persons in the Affordable Care Act Marketplace and Parkland Hospital Plans, providing wraparound health insurance options for those persons lacking affordable health insurance. Bilingual assistance (Spanish) will be available.

This community-wide enrollment event is the result of over two years of effort to bring affordable health care to Dallas County by a variety of faith-based organizations which comprise the membership of Dallas Area Interfaith. This event follows the DAI meeting on October 17th with the regional Health and Human Services Director Marjorie Petty and County Judge Clay Jenkins.
