The Rev. Jesse Jackson presided over a prayer vigil at the Dallas hospital where the first man diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. is being treated for the deadly disease.

Jackson spoke in Dallas Tuesday alongside the mother, son and other relatives of Thomas Eric Duncan.

The civil rights leader also called on the public to show compassion to Duncan and his family, not to ostracize them.
