Colleen WhiteAre you in search of something? Do you need an answer to a question? Have you been looking to someone in order to help get you where you would like to be? Oftentimes, we always think of ourselves when we are in need of something. But the Bible has a different point of view. In the book of Matthew it says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added ” (Matthew 6:33).

God wants us to seek His kingdom first. He desires that when we are in need, we ask his will first. Whatever you are searching for, God wants you to seek His kingdom. Instead of constantly running after this and that, we should look toward God’s kingdom and seek His will. God lives in His word and He lives in those who love him as well.

So we think we must do all we can do in order to reach our goals. But God says to seek Him first and all the other things will be added. He knows what you are in need of before you do. Once you are able to seek God’s kingdom first, He will then be able to help guide you through the difficulties of this life. Then all those things you have been desperately seeking, God will begin to add them in ways that you will know God’s hand is at work.

What are you in need of? If you first seek God’s kingdom, He will be able to meet the needs and desires of you heart as long as they fall in line with His will. Are you ready to seek God’s kingdom on a regular basis? I know I am. Amen? Amen.
