Overcoming Spiritual Poverty

Written through the inspiration of God by Prayer Warrior/Missionary, Evangelist Ms. Cm Carter

Spiritual growth is greatly necessary. We must pray, admit our spiritual poverty and invite Jesus to rule over our life. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.  (St Matthew 6:33); Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

We must make God first choice in our life. Growing spiritually is a necessity and a great sign of strength. When we are called to serve our strength skills, and education don’t always matter; because it is the Lord who does the work through us. He doesn’t seek out the most qualified people but instead calls men, women, boys and girls who are willing to surrender themselves to him. When God’s strength works through their weakness; It is obvious that only God could have achieved the results.

With prayer and surrender to God there is no limit to what God can accomplish through his power in us.

Additional words of wisdom in overcoming spiritual poverty.

  1. Before studying God’s word, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what he wants you to get from his word.
  2. Admit you sins and ask God to rule over your life
  3. If we spent more time praying on our knees we will have less trouble standing on our feet.

Proverbs 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding.
