William and Ruthie Ingram Celebrate 50 years of marriage, May 31, 2019

William and Ruthie Ingram met over 50 years ago in Denton, Texas. He was a student at the University of North Texas, and Ruthie was attending Texas Woman’s University.

The couple married on May 31, 1969, by the late Pastor Robert L. Parish Sr. of True Lee Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

God blessed them with two children: Rhenett (David Jr.) and William Jr., and three grandchildren; David III, Heaven, and Rayna. They are devoted members of the True Lee Missionary Baptist Church pastored by Rev. Donald R. Parish Sr.

William and Ruthie are retired educators of the Dallas Independent School District.

They are often asked what kept their union together? Mr. and Mrs. Ingram quickly replies; “love, respect for each other, having the same values and goals, and with God in the center of their marriage”.
