VA NORTH TEXAS TO HOSTS ENROLLMENT FAIR ON FRIDAY, MARCH 28 AS AFFORDABLE CARE ACT DEADLINE APPROACHES

VA North Texas Health Care System will host an enrollment fair at all locations to help Veterans enroll in VA Health Care in order to meet the upcoming Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements by March 31. If Veterans are enrolled in VA health care, they meet the health care law coverage standards. If Veterans are not enrolled, they can apply for enrollment at any time.

The good news is that Veterans enrolled in VA health care programs have health coverage that meets the new health care law’s standard. They do not have to take any additional steps to have health coverage if already enrolled. Veterans not enrolled in VA Health Care are encouraged to visit one of our locations to enroll on Friday, March 28 or online by visiting www.1010ez.med.va.gov.

Family members who are not enrolled in a VA health care program and who do not meet the health care law coverage standards should use the Marketplace to get coverage.

Veterans are asked to bring their DD-214, income information and photo ID on Friday.
