Spelman College celebrated their 2014 Reunion May 14th – May 18th, 2014. Excited alumnae from all over the country were present to reconnect with sisters, and celebrate their accomplishments. Gifts from alumnae allow the College to provide scholarships to deserving students, recruit and retain world renowned faculty members, and excel in fulfilling the mission of educating “Women Who Change the World.”

Reunion Philanthropy Awards are as follows:
Four Year Cumulative Class Gift:
Class of 1984 – $653,206
Most Significant Class Pledge:
Class of 1989 – $43,834
Every Woman…Every Year! Class Participation:
Class of 1964 – 74.78%
Class of 1969 – 65.13%
Class of 1979 – 59.93%
Reunion 2014 Class Gift:
Class of 1964 with $275,373

Spelman Class of 1984 gave $653,000 to Spelman College at the reunion dinner on Saturday evening. This was the highest gift by any class celebration reunion. Atty. Theodora Lee, former student body president, was a major part of this effort.
