Representatives Johnson, Veasey, and Allred Release Statement in Support of Dallas County “Stay Home Stay Safe” Measures

Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30), Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33), and Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) today released the following joint statement in support of Dallas County’s Stay Home Stay Safe measures:

“The health and safety of our North Texas community is always our top priority. The spread of this virus is

unprecedented and it is going to take a once in a generation response to combat and contain COVID-19.

“Though we know many North Texans are already making huge sacrifices to stop the spread of this virus,

we urge every member of the North Texas community to follow these measures.

“We all have a role to play, and it is going to take each and every one of us to fight this pandemic. “Additionally, we are all committed to working in a bipartisan way to forge an agreement to ensure

economic relief reaches North Texans, small businesses and local governments — and others who are hurting because of these difficult, yet necessary measures.

“We thank our county leaders like Judge Clay Jenkins, Dr. Philip Huang, Director of Dallas County Health

and Human Services, as well as the many first responders and health care workers who are putting themselves on the front lines to care for our community.”
