Nick Cannon launches student entrepreneur competition at Conrad High School
|DALLAS — The Nick Cannon Foundation, in collaboration with Dallas ISD’s Career and Technical Education Program and JPMorgan Chase and Co., have announced the launch of a new competition for Dallas youth called “America’s Teen Mogul (ATM) Summit and Student Business Plan Competition.”
Cannon announced the launch of the competition on Monday, Oct. 10, at Conrad High School. The ATM competition is designed to educate youth ages 12 to 19 in the global career and entrepreneurship opportunities available in the entertainment industry and growing middle-skill priority job sectors.
“I see a bunch of leaders, a bunch of future movers and shakers in this room, and we want to give you the tools to further your mission,” Cannon told Conrad students.
Conrad Principal Anthony Mays thanked the Nick Cannon Foundation for hosting the competition in Dallas and encouraged students to participate.
“This is a celebration of career and technology, and you should feel proud of where you are headed,” Mays said. “You have a bright future ahead of you.”
The competition will see students develop business plans for innovative ideas and products. Past project examples include biomedical solutions, game design apps, automotive innovations, photographic art and robotics.
The winner of the competition will win $5,000. Students ages 12–19 can register and learn more about the competition here.
