New DCCCD Trustee Sworn In

Phil Ritter, who was elected in May to fill the District 2 seat on Dallas County Community College District’s board of trustees, was sworn in on Tues., June 7, by Charletta Compton, who serves as board chair. The special ceremony was held at DCCCD’s downtown headquarters.
Compton said, “I am looking forward to working with Mr. Ritter, as the rest of the board is, and he will be a very able trustee.”
Dr. Joe May, DCCCD’s chancellor, other administrators and college presidents witnessed the ceremony, which preceded the board’s regular monthly meeting (and a work session) on Tuesday.Seats for Districts 3 and 4 on the DCCCD board of trustees will be filled following the June 18, 2016, run-off election in Dallas County; those new trustees will be sworn in at a later date.
