Mrs. Opal Jones Celebrated Her 92nd Birthday

Mrs. Opal Dorothy Williams Jones celebrated her 92^nd birthday on September 8^th 2015.  A birthday dinner party was hosted by her daughters, Sharon L. Jones Gray, Carolyn A. Jones Henderson and Marilyn Jones Foster at Pappadeux Seafood Restaurant.  Attending the dinner were her Sharon Gray (oldest daughter), Carolyn and William Henderson (daughter and son in law), Carl and Marie Williams (brother and sister in law), Richard and Linda Hall, Cassidy Hall, Coletta Morman,    Mrs. Jones has been a pillar in the community.  She retired from the Dallas Independent School District after working over 40 years as an Executive Secretary.  She was and continues to be active in her church, Cedar Crest Christian Methodist Episcopal Temple. She retired from the Dallas Post Tribune where she served as a Society Column Editor.  Mrs. Jones worked as a volunteer at Baylor Hospital and contributed countless hours of volunteer work to the Dallas community.  Dr. Theodore Lee, states “Mrs. Jones contributions to the Dallas community are invaluable as she has served diligently as a leader and we say to her a job well done.  Happy Birthday Mrs. Jones!”
