February 1st, 1865 —- John S. Rock became the first African American to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
February 2nd.,1902 —- Langston Hughes was born.
February 3rd., 1868 —- John Mercer Longston, U.S. Congressman, spoke at the Alabama Capital.
February 4th., 1967 —- George Peabody gave one million dollars to set up the Peabody Fund aiding African American Education.
February 5th., 1934 — Henry “Hank” Aaron was born.
February 6th., 1961 — Rock Hill, S.C. established the Jail-In Movement.
February 7th., 1867 — Fredrick Douglas and the African American Delegation saw President Andrew Johnson at the White House.
