Look out for the MLK Dallas Toastmasters Club!

Successful! Exciting! Monumental!
These words only begin to describe the atmosphere at the MLK Dallas Toastmasters Club demo meeting held earlier this month at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. The primary goal of the meeting was to expose the local community to the Toastmasters program in preparation for a new club at the MLK Center complex.
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
“Toastmasters is so much more than public speaking improvement. It gives individuals the confidence to lead, transform, and perform in ways they never originally fathomed they could,” said Area 55 Director Nathan Rogers. “As the proliferation of the Southern sector continues, this current season is ripe to introduce a Toastmasters club into our local community.”
The first 20 charter members who sign up by November 11 will save $20 on membership fees. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, located at 2922 MLK Boulevard. Future meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
Be sure to look out for the MLK Dallas Toastmasters Club…possibly the Southern Sector’s best kept secret, but not for long!
