DELORES MAXINE JONESDELORES MAXINE JONES WAS BORN IN FERRIS, TX ON JULY 25, 1955 TO THE PARENTAGE OF JAMES AND ANNIE HOWARD WHO PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ALONG WITH HER SON, GAYLON “BO”

She united with Johnson Chapel in Ferris, TX at an early age and later joined True Love missionary Baptist Church under Pastor M. E. Sergent. Maxine served as the Nurses Guild President for over 20 Years then she was appointed the financial secretary for the church. She later joined Greater peoples Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Rodney J. Lott until the Lord called her home.

Maxine was educated in Ferris Educational System and following high school she relocated to Dallas, TX where she attended BTU College of Nursing Technology to purse her passion for helping others. As a nurse, she blessed Baylor Medical Center’s Oncology Unit with her caring heart and Parkland Hospital with her sweet presence and her empathetic bedside manner. Maxine also had another gift, the ability to make people feel their best through hair styling and designs. She started her own business and opened Jam’s Hair & More. She continued her desired to service others with Gregory W. Spencer and Sons at Cedar Crest in the later part of her life where she wore many hats. Maxine leaves to continue to honor how she lived: her companion & friends, Jimmy Duffy ‘her sons, Briscilla Brosey Howard and Curtis Bell her daughters, Carolyn (Pig Howard and Andrecia Rabbit Howard her brothers, Detroit Mckinney (Cecelia) Willie Howard (Patricia) Charles Howard (Cleo), Gregory Howard, Cedric Howard and Elbert Taylor Jr. (Drucilla) her sisters, Ruby Jewel Griggs, Dorothy Howard, Jimmie Fay Williams, Nora V. Howard, Janet Cox and Karen Holliness; her godmother, Helen Andrews; her grandsons, Jeremy Howard (Christina), Dominique Alexander (Keyaria), Ryan Busby and Glenndon Dawson; her granddaughters, Gabreial Alexander (Dominique), Syiedta Blue Alexander, Tierrya Guess and Tatianna Alexander; 8 great grandchildren; special aunt Odessa Anderson and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.
