Jubilee Park receives $155,000 from Wells Fargo to continue revitalization efforts in Southeast Dallas

WHAT: Dallas-based Jubilee Park will receive a $155,000 from Wells Fargo, to support the agency’s work in providing affordable housing in Southeast Dallas. The grant is part of Wells Fargo’s Leading the Way Home® Priority Markets program. The check presentation will be followed by a Neighborhood Beautification Project, in which more than 20 Wells Fargo volunteers will participate helping repair and improve the grounds of the senior residence complex on campus.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announces a $155,000 donation to Dallas-based Jubilee Park. This grant will support the agency’s work in providing neighborhood revitalization and affordable housing in Southeast Dallas. The grant is part of Wells Fargo’s Leading the Way Home® Priority Markets program, a nationwide effort to increase the availability of affordable housing while stabilizing and rebuilding distressed neighborhoods.

Jubilee Park and Community Center is a non-profit community housing development organization providing quality affordable housing. Jubilee Park and Community Center has been a catalyst for community renewal and enrichment to the Jubilee Park Neighborhood, a 62- block area in southeast Dallas.

This grant is one of 56 Priority Market grants – totaling $6 million – awarded by the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation last year. This year’s donation will be made in a formal check presentation, followed by a volunteer project where more than 20 Wells Fargo volunteers will work on a beautification project of the grounds of Gurley Park an affordable housing complex for low-income senior citizens located at Jubilee Park. The team will repair landscaping, fencing and common areas while also working with the senior citizen residents to decorate and plant flowerpots for their front porch.
