The Education Committee of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join them in honoring the 2014 Educators of the Year at their event on March 26.
Nominations were submitted from all over the Greater Dallas area, and the 2014 Educators of the Year are:
College Educator of the Year:
Michael Sorrell (Paul Quinn College)
High School Educator of the Year:
Marshall Brad Dominy (W.H. Adamson High School)
Middle School Educators of the Year:
Jeremy Ratliff (Bishop Dunne Catholic School)
Elementary School Educator of the Year:
Bridget Bufkin Matthew (Arturo Salazar Elementary School)
Pre-School Educator of the Year:
Vicki Lyons (ChildCareGroup Bock Early Childhood Center)
The Educator of the Year Celebration will take place Wednesday, March 26th in the Hillcrest Great Hall of the Mahler Student Center at Dallas Baptist University, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Doors open at 7:45AM, program begins at 8:00AM.
The event will feature keynote speaker, Mike Satarino, former Principal of the Talented & Gifted Magnet at Townview Magnet Center, and will be moderated by Eric Cowan, Dallas ISD Board Trustee for District 7.
The 2014 Educator of the Year Celebration is sponsored in part by Ernst & Young, The Dallas Zoo, Bishop Dunne Catholic School, Salcedo Group, Inc., The Law Office of Scott Chase, and PSA Contractors.
