DeSoto Ma’aT Steppers win National Co-Ed Title

Congratulations to the DeSoto Ma’At (Moo Aht) Step Team for coming home from Chicago with the Co-Ed National Step Team Title.

The group, which performed at STOMP Wars in late March, earned the national trip after sweeping the Texas State Team Association (TSTA) Co-Ed Division North Texas District and Texas State titles earlier this year.

The group traveled to Chicago April 11 for the National Step Show Alliance (NSSA) U-19 Step Championships and won! Following the title win, they performed at the Dallas International Girls Cup Soccer Opening Ceremonies April 15 at SMU. They will be honored at the April 28 DeSoto ISD Board Meeting for their earning the title Co-Ed National Step Champions.

They group is tentatively scheduled to perform at the 5th Annual Atlanta Invitational High School Step Show on May 3 and is getting ready for tryouts for next year.
