DALLAS CAN ACADEMIES PLACE 1ST IN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Ross Ave. campus of Dallas Can Academies recently won the Texans Can Basketball tournament in which six of their schools participated. Second place went to Houston Can’s North campus and taking the 3rd place trophy was Dallas Can’s Oak Cliff campus. The other three schools participating in the tournament were Austin, Carrollton/Farmers Branch and Houston Can’s Hobby campus.

The tournament was hosted by Houston Can’s North campus. “Houston North was happy to host the other school’s in our District and hopes the tournament becomes a new tradition for our teams,” said Trenn Russell, principal of Houston Can North. “The level of sportsmanship demonstrated by each team was as impressive as their athletic ability.”
