Celebrating The Life of Mrs. Ellen Doris Woodfork Arnold
|Mrs. Ellen Doris Woodfork Arnold was born on June 24, 1913 in Somerville, Texas to John Wesley and Nellie Harris Woodfork. She was the youngest of eight children born to this union. Mrs. Arnold celebrated her 100th Birthday in 2013. She worked as a maid in private homes and later became a beautician in her own business. She was a volunteer at Martin L. King, Jr. Elementary School formerly known as Colonial Elementary. She served her community as a precinct chair and general poll worker. She died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 and leaves to cherish her family: Dr. Alfred L. Roberts, Sr. (son), Billie Kerl Roberts (daughter-in-law), Alfrelynn, LaTasha, and Alfred Jr. (grandchildren), Alfred Jeremiah and Lailah Anais (great-grandchildren), and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The homegoing celebration will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 12 noon at St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church, 5710 E. R. L. Thornton Freeway. The Viewing will be from 10am-12noon. Arrangements are entrusted to Community Funeral Home, Waxahachie, Texas.
