BANK OF DESOTO DONATES $5K
Bank of DeSoto President Jimmy Monkres and Vice President Patricia Coleman present a check to Superintendent David Harris for the Education Foundation endowment.

(DESOTO, TX) — Bank of DeSoto President Jimmy Monkres and Vice President Patricia Coleman present their $5,000 donation toward a 5-year, $25,000 endowment commitment to Superintendent David Harris for the DeSoto ISD Education Foundation.

“The Foundation is blessed to have such a solid supporter in the Bank of DeSoto,” said Dr. Harris. “The Monkres family and Mrs. Coleman provide resources for our teachers and students to achieve higher academic success! These funds support innovative teaching grants in math, science, reading, writing, special education, library e-books, physical education and much more.”

The Bank of DeSoto has contributed $85,000 over the past twelve years through endowment commitments.

The DeSoto ISD Education Foundation supports district students and staff through scholarships and grants for innovative teaching.
