What are you doing today? Did you take time to plan your day? Did you decide to include other people in on your plans? Or did you decide to travel the road alone? If you’re a Christian, you know that you’re never alone; our Heavenly Father is always with you. However, He too would like to be included on your daily schedule.

Often as Christians we become too busy with our lives. We are rushing to get to work, rushing to take our children to their different activities, we are rushing to move up the ladder in our careers. But we should slowdown our day in order to take time to reflect and spend a little quiet time with the one person who loves us beyond any understanding—our Heavenly Father.

Perhaps it would be best for you to have your quiet time with the Father in the morning once you get up. Grab your Bible, find a quiet place, and sit down and read and pray for about five minutes or more. Maybe having your quiet time might be more advantageous for you to do in the evenings. Whichever one works best, you should try to do on a daily basis.

I find it best to start my day with prayer and Bible study. That way I have put on the full armor of God in order to move through my day. During the day, I’m still spending a few moments with Him in quick prayers and moments of reflection upon His word. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that I am spending time with my Savior each day.

That’s why in the book of Ephesians it says, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness…” (Ephesians 6:11-12). Therefore, why don’t you start spending a little time with the Lord today. Amen? Amen.
