A Little Bit of Faith: A Poem

His Righteousness Is Great!

“Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep.” (Psalm 36:6)

The spirit of God rests on the mountaintop.

Birds fly and soar near its peak to get a glimpse of his face.

As His spirit rests, He ponders the things of this world and beyond.

He searches high and low.

He sees all the beauty He has created.

While creatures below move through their day,

He watches over them.

God is near although He seems far away.

His righteousness is great and his love is everlasting.

We who seek to see His face and hear Him call our names

Wait patiently below the mountain.

While we wait, we search His word and His word brings

Life, truth, and love.

He is the great I Am. He is the Holy One. He is the Bright Morning Star.

Who can question His greatness?

Who is worthy to see His face?

No one!

While the lilies bend in the wind, and the birds paint the sky, He whispers

Softly to us—Can you hear his words of love?

Listen closely and you will hear Him whispering great truths for the world to hear…

Is your heart open?

Is your mind clear?

Is your soul ready?
