TRINITY CHAPTER, THE LINKS INC. WELCOMES 60 GIRLS TO SO SMAART KICK OFF PROGRAM

Members of Trinity Chapter The Links Inc. will have over 60 girls from TL Marsalis, Thomas Tolbert and William H. Atwell in its So SMAART program this year. Trinity Chapter is in its second year of receiving a $20,000 sub grant from the Links Foundation in support of Stem education. The grant provides funding to enhance one of the key programs of the Links Inc. “STEM-ULATING LEFT BRAIN and RIGHT BRAIN”. The program aims to enhance our So SMAART (Science, Math, Aviation, Arts, Reading, Technology) program emphasizing STEM disciplines, engineering and energy industry career readiness.

Only a portion of the grant is given to the Chapter each year. Trinity members support the remaining funds needed for this mentoring program by sponsoring its annual Diamonds and Sneakers Gala. The 2014 Gala will be held March 1, at the Hilton Hotel. Sponsorship range from$10,000 (Gala underwriter) to $100 (single ticket cost). Visit our website at http://www.trinitychapterlinksinc.org/
