Michael Tirone Manns is the son of Robert Quincin Manns and Charlie Dell Manns born on August 12, 1950. He was educated in the Dallas Public School System having graduated from Lincoln High in 1968. During his time at Lincoln, he participated in the Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands under the leadership of Allison C. Tucker.

After his graduation from Lincoln, Michael attended Texas Southern University in Houston and Bishop College in Dallas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He served in the United States Army, was stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1972.

Michael worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Phillip Morris and retired after 22 years. Not satisfied with being a man of leisure, he decided to return to work. He enjoyed his work at Haverty’s Furniture for several years and retired a second time in 2013. In 1977, Michael opened Art on the Boulevard in Dallas where his love of art was showcased. He signed very talented artist and many of us have beautiful art in our homes and businesses as a result of his gallery.

He pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in 1980 wears his Greek letters proudly and was an active member of the fraternity. Michael has dedicated his life to caring for others and will be greatly missed by all who love him.

He leaves to cherish memories: his sons, Au’Duan Manns (LaShonda) and Michael Manns, Jr. (Shunta’); siblings, Dianne Manns Shannon, Larry Quincin Manns, and Kathy Manns Howard; grandchildren, An’Duan Manns II, Andre Manns, Aliyah Manns, Amari Manns, Alesha Smith, Kayla Manns, Desean Manns, Cameron Benson, Terry Grant, III; nieces and nephews, Dionne Cofer, Ryan Shannon, Larry Quincin Manns, II, Christian Howard, and a host of other relatives and friends.
