It is truly our responsibility as Christians to spread the message that Christ has come into the mainstream of humanity. The writer of the Gospel of John wastes no time informing us that Jesus Christ has incarnated Himself. John informs us that: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John’s reference to the “Word” is revealed in verse 1 as being co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal with God. Through the Word, God’s Self-expressions are revealed. It is through the incarnation of Jesus Christ that we become to know of the mind, will, and character of God. Also in verse 2, John wants us to know that the “Word” was not created, because He has always existed as God.

In verse 14, John says that, “the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.” The Word was made flesh! What a rich message for us! We must spread the message that Jesus Christ, the impeccable God-Man became flesh in order to fulfill the plan of salvation. There are countless people who are lost, and they are in dire need of hearing the message that God has come in the person of Jesus Christ to save them from their sins. Jesus Christ has come to provide salvation to a lost humanity. Let us be zealous in our efforts during this Christmas Season and always to spread the message that God has come to visit us through the person of Jesus Christ to secure salvation to all who will believe on Him.
