Single-family rental program community meetings begin

Dallas – The City of Dallas Code Compliance Department is hosting a series of community meetings beginning in late October through November to receive community feedback on a series of proposed revisions on minimum property standards. The revisions were based on six community meetings held in August to hear feedback on the Single-Family Rental Program. The Single-Family Rental Program began on Jan. 1, 2017.

“The City is committed to ensuring Dallas residents have a voice in how the City updates its property standards,” said Nadia Chandler-Hardy, Assistant City Manager & Chief Resilience Officer, “All are welcome to participate and share feedback with the Code Compliance Department,”

The main purpose of the meetings is to streamline the Single-Family Rental Registration process to be customer-friendly and efficient.

The schedule for these meetings is below:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 23, 9-11am, Dallas City Hall, Room L1FN auditorium
  • Thursday, Oct. 25, 9-11am, Dallas City Hall, Room L1FN auditorium
  • Monday, Oct. 29, 6-8 pm, Lake Highlands North Recreation Center
  • Tuesday, Oct. 30, 6-8pm, Umphress Recreation Center
  • Thursday, Nov. 1, 6-8pm, Dallas West Library
  • Monday, Nov. 5, 6-7:30pm, Highland Hills Library

Monday, Nov. 12, 6-7:30pm, Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center
