The Wades spent 57 years combined in DISD improving the lives of others

Mr. Wade Graduate of Southwestern Christian College and Washington State University, came to DISD IN 1994. He had previously spent time in the educational system in Rochester Public School and Eastman Kodak Company. He served as Special Education Teacher, Community Liaison, and Assistant Principal at Sequoyah Learning Center, H.S. Thompson Learning Center, James Madison High School, Charles Rice learning Center, Billy E. Dade Middle School and Harold W. Lang Jr. Middle School.
Mrs. Wade, a graduate of Southwestern Christian College and Abilene Christian University, came to DISD IN 1979. She began her career in DISD as a substitute at Oliver Wendell Holmes where Dr. T.R. Lee was the principal. She has served as Special Education Teacher, Mentor Teacher, and Behavioral Specialist for Hospital/Homebound, Boude Storey, E.B. Comstock, A. Maceo Smith and James Madison High School. Her last 15 Years she worked on the Special Education Central Staff as a Mentor Teacher and Behavior Specialist.

The Wades are parents of two adult children, Phillip and Dustin, who are both graduates of the Great James Madison High School. They worship at Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ.
