Last day to receive application for Ballot by Mail is: Friday, May 16, 2014 (Último día para recibir la aplicación para boleta por correo es: viernes, 16 de mayo, 2014) Last day to receive FPCA application for Ballot by Mail is: Tuesday, May 20, 2014 (Último día para recibir una aplicación de FPCA para boleta por correo es: martes, 20 de mayo, 2014) Photo ID vs. Voter Certificate – Your name on your Photo ID must match identically to your name on the registered voters list. If it does not, but is “substantially similar,” you will be allowed to vote after initialing a column on the sign-in sheet at the polls. If it is not “substantially similar,” you will be allowed to vote provisionally.

 

GROUND WAS BROKEN ON AN $8 MILLION NEW HOUSING PROJECT to help some of the chronically homeless in Dallas. Cottages at Hickory Crossing, will provide homes for 50 people who suffer from mental illness and have also been in the criminal justice system, located in south Dallas on Malcolm X Boulevard near Interstate 30.

PRESIDENT OBAMA SAID THAT A TOTAL OF 8 MILLION PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR HEALTH INSURANCE UNDER THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT during the initial enrollment period that ended March 31. “The Affordable Care Act is now covering more people at less cost than most would have predicted just a few months ago,” Obama said during a White House news conference.
