City celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Events include a Health Fair, March/Parade, & Awards Banquet The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center will kick off its 33rd Annual Birthday Celebration with a series of events honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Special events include a Health & Information Fair, an Affordable Care Act Enrollment, a Candle-Lighting ceremony hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, a March/Parade from City Hall to Fair Park, and a formal Awards Banquet with a silent auction. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Dream Forward.” All activities are free and open to the general public, with the exception of the awards banquet. Saturday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. – Health & Information Fair/ Affordable Care Act Enrollment
