The City of Dallas is releasing a list of Ebola-related expenses incurred by the Office of Emergency Management, Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas Police Department, Dallas Animal Services, Dallas Water Utilities and Equipment and Building Services.

The City incurred about $155,000 in expenses (including the care of Bentley) and is seeking reimbursement for some of these expenses from the state of Texas. Approximately $19,000 incurred for the care of Nina Pham’s dog, Bentley, is being reimbursed by grants and donations.

The Latino Cultural Center presents Posada, Dec. 14, 2014
The free festival returns for its 11th year – Dallas (Dec. 3, 2014) – The LCC announces its 11th annual Posada. Festivities begin Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak, Dallas, TX 75204.  Festivities continue until 8 p.m. with performances by Mariachi Magnifico, Carolina Imperial, Matachines dancers and much more. Children can enjoy craft activities and other surprises. All activities are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the spirit of the Latin American tradition of Posada, the Latino Cultural Center will hold its annual festivalPatrons are invited to meet at Central Square Park at the corner of Swiss Ave. and Oak St. at 4 p.m. The procession will go down Swiss Ave. and end at the Latino Cultural Center Plaza where carolers will be welcomed by mariachis and Matachines dancers.
