Moorehead Elected National Bar Association Regional Director

Soror Audrey Moorehead was elected Region V Director at the National Bar Association (NBA) 88th Annual National Conference held in Miami, Florida. Region V includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and the Canal Zone. This former President of the African American Lawyer’s Association for the State Bar of Texas (SBOT) was appointed Co-Chair of the 2013 Council of Chairs for the entire State Bar. She serves on the board of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and is a frequent speaker on the subject of Family Violence in Criminal and Civil Matters. Soror Moorehead is a presidential appointee to the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in Criminal Matters Committee and is also a frequent speaker for the Texas Center for Legal Ethics – James A. Ms. Moorehead is currently serving as Chair of the Dallas Bar Association Mentoring Committee. She was recently appointed to the Dallas County Child Welfare Board by the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court. Soror Moorehead was named Attorney of the Year by the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association (formerly the Tarrant County Black Bar Association) on September 14, 2013. Soror Moorehead is a 2006 graduate of the Texas A&M School of Law and practices in the areas of Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations , Wills, Trusts and Probate. She is a Silver Star member of Alpha Xi Omega chapter in Dallas, Texas.
