Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins is inviting the Dallas community to participate in the Adopt a Family program as part of the Home for the Holidays Celebration.  Adopting a family is very simple and will bring lots of joy in the upcoming holiday season.  To adopt a family all one has to do is provide new, unwrapped toys, gift cards and/or unwrapped gift items for families.  You can adopt an entire family.  All donated items will receive a gift receipt for your records.

Monday, December 1, 2014 from 9 am to 12:30 pm Conference Room 5FN

Monday, December 1, 2014 from 3 pm to 6 pm Conference Room 5FS

Now until Friday, December 5, 2014 at 5EN security desk or contact District 8 office at 214-670-4066 or 214-670-0779.

The final drop off date will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Kleberg-Rylie Recreation Center, 1515 Edd Road.

Adopt a Family is part of the 8th Annual Home for the Holidays Celebration sponsored by Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins in District 8.  “Bringing joy to families during the holidays is a wonderful feeling, especially during this time of the year.” said Mayor Pro Tem Atkins.   Last year a total of forty families were adopted in the Adopt a Family program thanks to the efforts of a caring Dallas community.
