Local Author Releases Final Book in the Sunday Rose Series

Author R. Jay BerryLocal author, R. Jay Berry, recently released her third and final novel in the Sunday Rose series, entitled “Sunday’s Eternal Rose.” The series is based on true events that happened in her grandmother’s life, Mrs. Georgia Biggins. The engaging account depicts the self-imposed struggles that her grandmother encountered from her early years and throughout her life.

Mrs. R. Jay Berry does an outstanding job in telling this captivating tale and will leave the reader truly understanding how making impulsive decisions in your life can have everlasting consequences. Book one, The First Sunday, was published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises and books two and three, Sunday’s Best and Sunday’s Eternal Rose, were both published by Xulon Press. Jay Berry is a retired educator from the Dallas Independent School District who had an outstanding career during her 30 year tenure in the district. Upon her retirement in 2009, she was the Executive Director of Academic Services. Her formal education includes a high school diploma from Ursuline Academy, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University, and a Master’s Degree in Management and Psychology from Amberton University. Mrs. Berry is a very active member of the Greater Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Fabian K. Jacko where she serves as secretary of the Deaconess and member of the Contemporary Gospel Choir. She is also a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Mrs. Berry has been married to her husband, Bernard, for 35 years and they have one son, Stephen and daughter-in-law Jewel.
