Retired DISD educator(teacher, principal, and central office administrator), President, African American Education Archives and History Program and member of St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church. Dr. Alfred Roberts has spent his life teaching and helping others, as a professor of Prairie View A & M University, Boy Scouts of America, YMCA and a father and a grandfather. Without doubt he is one of the greatest leaders that this city has ever known. The late Dr. B.E. Dade and Mrs. Lucy Mae Davis noted him as a dynamic, courageous and phenomenal. After his retirement from teaching in the Dallas Independent School District Roberts founded the African American Education Archives and History Program Hall of Fame. Despite his economic means Roberts has chosen to live in South Dallas; because he feels he can do the most good for the community. His mantra has always been one of love. Love for humanity, youth, service, self and country.
