During a tennis match, there are specific words players often say to themselves that help win points. Coaches who work with serious players, make certain that their students know these words and use them each day, on and off the court. One of the most important attributes of a top ranked tennis player is consistency, hitting the shots repeatedly over the net that land inside the designated spot on the court. Players who possess this ability are the top players in the world.

The word that best describes the talented and gifted KeVon Webb, is consistency. KeVon, the son of Kevin and Vonda Webb of Arlington, Texas, has been very consistent in his performance as a top junior, and has a great future in the
game as well as academics. KeVon won his first major tournament when he was eight, MIDTAC in Indiana.

For KeVon, his Christmas came early. On Dec 13-14, 2014, he competed in the Abilene Champ Major Zone Tennis Tournament. KeVon went into the tournament unseeded and ranked 127 in Texas champ 16. To get to the finals he had to knock out a couple of higher ranked seeded players. In championship fashion he beat the #2 seed, #4 seed, and the #1 seeded player in the finals (6-3,6-0).

During the second week in December , 2014, KeVon reached the round of 16s in the Main Daw, the quarterfinals in the Consolation Draw of the boys 16 singles, and he and his doubles partner were finalists in the main draw of the Metroplex Jr Open tournament in Dallas, Texas.

KeVon, a 10 grader, is an all-District player, and plays #1 boys singles and doubles for MacArthur HS in Irving, Tx. KeVon is high on the recruiting list that schools throughout the state of Texas and the nation use to select players for their teams. There is no doubt that many of the top schools throughout the nation will send him an invitation to join their organization when he graduates.
