Dallas community activist and business owner Joyce Foreman is the member-elect for the District 6 seat on the Dallas Board of Trustees in Texas. She first won election in a runoff election on June 21, 2014 against fellow challenger Bertha Bailey Whatley. District 6 covers schools in southwestern Dallas.
She will be sworn in on Thursday June 26. Foreman reported $3,650.00 in contributions and $3,113.91 in expenditures to the school district secretary, leaving her campaign with $536.09 on hand prior to the general election.
Joyce Foreman sought election to the District 6 seat against newcomers Lew Blackburn, Jr., Bertha Bailey Whatley, D. Marcus Ranger and Carlos Sherman in the general election on May 10, 2014.
