In Loving Memory of Allyn “Keith” Bowdre, Sr.
|Allyn Keith Bowdre, Sr. was born October 20, 1961 in terra Haute, Indiana the third child of Alvertice and Larneatha Bowdre. He graduated from Waller High School, Class of 1980 and attended Prairie View A&M Univeristy. His work at University College in recent years was a blessing to both the students and University.
Keith fell in love and married his homegirl, Annette. They were blessed to celebrate their 30th Anniversary in May 2014. To this union, three wonderful children were born. Jennifer Annette, DeAndrea Elizabeth and Allyn II.
Keith was baptized into the Lord’s Church in McAlester, OK in 1971. He was active throughout his life and spent many years at the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Houston, TX. Most recently, he was Associate Minister at the South Hwy. 6 Church of Christ in Navasota, Texas. His booming bass will be remembered by all who heard it in a choir or In worship.
Keith enjoyed sports and coached Little League baseball in Waller County. He was locally loyal as he followed the Texans, Rockets, and Astros. He enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed talking about politics and currents events. He also was an excellent cook and his skill on the grill will be hard to replace.
Keith leaves to cherish many fond memories his wife Annette Bowdre; children, Darrell Washington of Orlando Fl., Jennifer Bowdre of Houston, TX. DeAndrea Bowdre of Houston, TX amd Allyn Bowdre, Of Prairie View, TX; father Alvertice Browdre, Jr.; his mother, Larneatha Bowdre of Tyler, TX; Yvonne (Michael) Woodard (Houston, TX) ,Darryl (Lynn) Bowdre of Tyler, TX; Anthony (Robin) Jackson (Dallas, TX); Greg Bowdre of Prairie View, TX; Elizabeth (Arnold) Revuelta (Port Arthur, TX). Grandchildren, Jersey Washington, Lyric Washington, Micah Washington, and David Crawford; a host of other family and friends.
Keith also left us something else…#CSWSpraying… and we won’t.
