HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

You probably thought he didn’t see
Or that he hadn’t heard,
Life lessons that you taught him,
But he got every word.

You may have thought he missed it all
And that you’d grow apart,
But he picked up everything.
It’s written on his heart!

Without you, Dad, he wouldn’t be
Who he is today.
You gave him a strong foundation
That no one can take away.

He’s grown up with your values,
And I’ll bet he’s glad he did;
So here’s to you, dear father:
He’s your forever grateful kid.
