Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church will have Installation and Appreciation services for their Pastor, Rev. Rudolph Phillips and first lady Regenia Phillips. Pastor Phillips is a retired professional football player for the Canadian leagues Ottawa Roughriders, Edmonton Eskimos, and Calgary Stampeders. He was inducted into the Canadian football hall of fame in 2009. Whereas, Pastor Phillips once wielded a football, he is now wielding a Bible. Pastor Phillips currently works as a Registered Sanitarian for Dallas County Health and Human Services. First lady Regenia, previously a small business owner as a caterer, wedding planner and interior decorator, currently works as the Director of Nutrition Services at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. The couple has a daughter, Rachael, who is a rising sophomore at Sam Houston State University.  The Appreciation service will consist of a banquet to be held Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., at Holiday Inn Express, in DeSoto, Texas. Installation Services will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015. The guest speaker for 10:30 a.m. morning worship will be Rev. Von Carl Thomas, Sr., pastor of New Founders Baptist Church in Ennis, Texas. The guest speaker for 3:00 p.m. service will be Rev. James C. Brown, pastor of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Associate Minister, Rev. Conway James and wife, Johnnie James, are committee co-chairmen. The theme for these special events is “Celebrating the Call of Our Pastor,” Jeremiah 3:15.

Weekend attire is classic black and summer white. Tickets for the banquet are $20 and can be purchased by calling the church office at 214-376-3110.  All are welcome and invited to attend the banquet and installation services.
