Fall Warrant Roundup Kicks Off Oct. 3, 2015 Officers to increase effort to arrest persons with outstanding City of Dallas warrants

Dallas Police Department logoThe Dallas City Marshal’s Office and the Dallas Police Department will concentrate efforts to arrest wanted individuals with unpaid traffic and non-traffic citations and warrants pending before the Dallas Municipal Court.

Offenders who are delinquent in satisfying their City of Dallas warrants are subject to a hold placed on the renewal of their vehicle registration with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (Scofflaw Program) or arrest and jail time. In Dallas, drivers may also be subject to denial of their driver’s license renewal.

Persons with outstanding citations in the City of Dallas may avoid vehicle registration holds or arrest by paying in person at 2014 Main St. between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. (wheelchair access is at 2014 Main Street).

MEDIA:          Members of the news media who wish to accompany officers on the roundup may contact Chief Deputy Marshal Paul Hansen at (214) 670-3999 or report to the City Marshal’s Office at the City Detention Center, 1600 Chestnut St. The City Marshal will conduct a short briefing at 6 a.m. Media representatives will then be directed to a pre-determined location and the roundup will begin.
