Dez Bryant’s Status Murky For Giants game

Dez Bryant’s status will be evaluated all week as the Cowboys decide whether the star receiver can return six weeks after breaking his right foot in the season opener against the Giants.

The Cowboys are growing tired of questions about Dez Bryant, who may – or may not – practice today.

Coach Jason Garrett said there was no “Magna Carta” of checkpoints the team was following to determine whether Bryant would return against the Giants on Sunday.

Garrett wouldn’t say whether Bryant will practice today after he worked on the side for the first time since the injury during last week’s bye. He also declined to say whether the bone was fully healed.

“We are not going to make any determination today as to whether or not Dez Bryant is going to play in this game,” Garrett said. “We are going to see how he is doing. He has made a lot of progress in the last two weeks.”
