DeSoto Hosts Annual 8th Grade EXPO And Parent Porch Event
(DESOTO, TX) — DeSoto ISD is hosting the 3rd Annual 8th Grade EXPO on Saturday, January 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the DeSoto Freshman Campus, 820 S. Westmoreland Road.
Eighth graders from all three middle schools will join together in team building exercises, interact with campus staff and explore course, club and extracurricular offerings at the Freshman Campus and DeSoto High School as they prepare for the next four years.
Students should arrive at their home campus at 7:30 a.m. to start the day – buses will run regular pick up routes or parents can drop students off their home middle school. Buses will then transport students to Freshman Campus for the event. Parents can pick students back up at 2:45 p.m. at their home middle school. Participants receive a t-shirt, snacks and lunch as well as a great day of fun activities!
Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent Porch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet other parents, hear guest speaker Dr. Adolph Brown and have lunch on us!
