DART to Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl on Green
|Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is the easiest way to get to the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl, Friday, Dec. 26, at noon, for the 85th year of games being played at historic Cotton Bowl Stadium.
DART light rail provides service directly to the “heart” of the game featuring Louisiana Tech from Conference USA and Big Ten Conference member Illinois.
Bulldogs and Fighting Illini can purchase a $5 Local Day Pass, good for both DART Rail and buses, by cash or credit card at ticket vending machines located at all DART stations. Make your trip even easier by purchasing a day pass in advance of your trip by using the GoPass℠ mobile ticketing application for Android and Apple smartphones available for free through Google Play or the App Store.
Fans have a choice of using two Green Line stations — Fair Park, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, or MLK, Jr., located south of R.B. Cullum Blvd. and convenient to both the MLK fairground entrance (Gate 6) and the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Transferring to the Green Line from Red, Orange and Blue lines can be done at any of the four downtown Dallas rail stations: West End, Akard, St. Paul or Pearl/Arts District. Trinity Railway Express (TRE) service will also be available from Fort Worth.
Before the game
- Blue, Orange and Red Line trains will follow a regular weekday schedule into Dallas where customers transfer to the Green Line.
After the game
- Green Line customers will use regular service from MLK, Jr. and Fair Park stations.
- To return to Plano, Irving, Garland, Rowlett or West Oak Cliff, board a Green Line train at Fair Park or MLK, Jr. stations and ride to any of the four downtown stations and then transfer to a Red, Orange or Blue Line train.
