DART BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTED FAYE MOSES-WILKINS AS BOARD CHAIR

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors has elected long-time member Faye Moses-Wilkins as their chair for the coming year.

The Plano and Farmers Branch representative was appointed to the board in 1999. Wilkins is president of The Wilkins Group, Inc., a telecommunications and systems integration firm based in the Richardson Telecom Corridor.

Dallas attorney Richard Carrizales was elected vice chair. He was appointed to the board by the Dallas city council in 2010. Gary Slagel, who represents Richardson, Addison, Highland Park and University Park, was elected secretary. Slagel, appointed to the board in 2011, is President and Chief Executive Officer of CapitalSoft, Inc., a software development firm. Dallas representative Jerry Christian was elected assistant secretary. Christian is pastor of Kirkwood Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and was appointed to the DART Board in 2007.
