DALLAS YOUTH BASEBALL 10TH ANNUAL OPENING DAY
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, Dallas Youth Baseball will be holding its 10th Annual Opening Day at Kiest Park Softball Complex, 3080 S. Hampton Rd, Dallas, Texas, 75208.
Please join us for the Parade of Teams beginning at 9:00 a.m. along with 2000 players, volunteers and fans, to welcome the new season.
Games will be played from 10:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.
Dallas Youth Baseball is part of a non-profit volunteer organization with Dallas Youth Athletic Association. It was started thru the City of Dallas
Parks and Recreation Department, ten (10) years ago with our leader JR Huerta. Games are at Kiest Park and other surrounding parks. Our grassroots program has thrived and is a place where players/students can grow up and become future leaders in our community. Our organization is made up of volunteers from the community, DISD students, and community leaders.
This year during our event we will be join by to very Special Guests:
Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, #7 Former MLB Superstar of the Texas Rangers, will be a guest speaker for our youth and will be throwing out the ceremonial First Pitch. He supports grass roots programs like ours which not only shows our youth the sport of baseball but is enhancing their lives by providing structure and stability to become leaders in our community.
Cynthia Izaguirre, WFAA Co-Anchor of the News at 5 and 10 pm. A Dallas Native and a proud product of Dallas Independent School District will be Hosting and MC the event. She is providing a platform for our young ladies to believe that no matter where you are from, or who you are, big things can happen.
