Dallas Madison 82, Houston Yates 70: Led by 22 points from game MVP Admon Gilder, Dallas Madison repeated as Class 3A boys state champions.
The game was a rematch of the 2013 finals when Dallas Madison also defeated Yates, 85-72. Dallas Madison (30-3) is the first Class 3A defending champion to repeat since Sweeny in 1987-88. Cameron Bryant added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Madison. J.C. Washington led Yates (24-9) with 20 points and six rebounds.
The teams were tied at 51-51 with 1:06 left in the third quarter when Dallas Madison went on a 12-0 scoring run, including seven unanswered points to start the fourth.
