DALLAS ISD TO LIVE STREAM MLK ORATORY COMPETITION FINALS

Community members and students across Dallas ISD can view the finals of the Gardere 2014 MLK Jr. Oratory Competition via live stream and district cable channels at 11 a.m., this Friday, Jan. 17. The live stream will be available by clicking the MLK icon on the district’s homepage at www.dallasisd.org. The program will be televised live on Dallas ISD Cable Channel 98 on Time Warner Cable and Uverse local channels in Dallas.

The event will be held at the Majestic Theater in downtown Dallas and is free and open to the public.

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have A Dream” speech, the eight students will recite their original essays on the topic, “If Dr. King were speaking at a March on Washington today, what would he say?” The competition finalists and their schools are:
