City of Dallas Department and Facility Holiday Closures

The City of Dallas offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, for Labor Day.

Dallas Public Libraries: 

All library locations are closed on Monday, September 2, 2024. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Dallas Water Utilities

The Dallas Water Utilities administrative and customer service offices will be closed Monday, September 2, 2024, for Labor Day. For emergency water service requests, customers should call 3-1-1.

Non-emergency requests can be submitted online or on the Dallas 311 mobile app available for download on iOS and Android devices.

Park and Recreation

All Dallas Park and Recreation administrative offices, maintenance facilities, and recreation centers are closed in observance of the holiday. We will resume normal business operations on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Municipal Courts

Municipal Courts is closed Monday, September 2, 2024, for Independence Day.

The facility will re-open Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 7:30 a.m.

Animal Services

Dallas Animal Services is open on September 2, 2024.

Adoption fees are currently waived. Anyone adopting a dog over 40 pounds is eligible to receive a $150 Amazon gift card (delivery 2 weeks after adoption is finalized).

Office of Arts and Culture

The Office of Arts and Culture administrative offices, and cultural centers will be closed during the observance of the holiday. We will resume normal business operations on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
