Celebrating the Life of Ida Maryland Finney

Ida FinneyMs. Ida Maryland Finney was born to Corine Jackson and Artis Jackson on June 19, 1938 in Mineola, Texas.  She attended Quitman Colonial High School in Quitman, Texas and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas. She was a licensed beautician and ran a housekeeping business for many years. After moving to Dallas, she was a faithful member at New Friendship Baptist church for over 20 years. She later united with Salem Institutional Baptist Church where she served as the Superintendent of Sunday School for many years.

Maryland was called to her heavenly home on Monday August 3, 2015, where she was met by her husband, Birt, daughters; Patricia and Melba, parents; Corine and Artis Jackson and her brother, Hershel Jackson.
